The holiday painting courses organised by the Guild provide an ideal opportunity for both beginners and advanced artists to learn from experienced tutors how to capture with paint and brush the essence of the mountain scene, with its endless variety of subject possibilities, from flowers, lakes and waterfalls to the glaciers and magnificent alpine panorama around Grindelwald.

Programme

Sunday, 27.6.2010, 12:00 - Welcome aperitif in Hotel Residence, Grindelwald. Participants will receive full course details in advance.

Sunday 27.6.2010 to Saturday 3.7.2010 (12:00) - Drawing and painting outdoors in and around Grindelwald with the tutor Heinz Kropf and support by members of the Guild. Sheltered venues are available in case of bad weather. Individual instruction and technical guidance tailored to the level and preferences of each participant. Voluntary get-together at the end of each day with presentation of work, analysis and discussion.

Friday, 2.7.2009 (18:00) - Vernissage and informal exhibition of the week's work with relaxed final evening together.


Accommodation/Prices

Participants are free to make their own accommodation arrangements but the Grindelwald Tourist Office and the course organisers will be happy to advise upon request. Participants are expected to organise their own lunch packs and are encouraged to meet together for meals in the evenings.

The course costs are made up as follows:


- 6-day course fee incl. welcone aperitif, vernissage and final evening CHF 500
- 6-day Jungfraubahn Railpass with / without SBB Halbtax-Abo. CHF 200 / 150
